Stroke is the leading cause of serious, long-term disability in the United States.

What is a Stroke?

Having a stroke involved an interruption in the blood supply to the brain. Strokes require immediate treatment and often occur without much warning. If even have the slightest feeling that you or someone you know is having a stroke, get to the hospital FAST! There is a 3 hour window of time to get treated and decrease the side effects. Strokes may cause sudden weakness, loss of sensation, or difficulty with speaking, seeing, or walking. Sometimes people with stroke have a headache, but stroke can also be completely painless.
